How it Works

We all have things we really don't need. So now is your chance to de-clutter, simplify and clean out your closet! We have a strict quality policy and will only accept items that are gently used and fashionable for our swappers.

Items will be classified according to price point:

Cheap 'n' Chic (low)
Everything in Moderation (medium)
Lap of Luxury (high)

Upon arrival at Swap Miami, guests will need to check in their clothes or home decor items they no longer want. Guests will receive SC (swap currency) for each checked item.

Check in begins at 12:00 and Swapping begins at 12:30 until 6pm. Guests will have the opportunity to sip on complimentary cocktails, light bites, experience new products.

WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING LARGE FURNITURE ITEMS
Furniture we will be accepting a variety of styles from vintage to country to modern. All furniture must be in very good condition in order to be accepted. We will have furniture retailers on site, to ensure we receive quality items for our swappers.

Swap Miami Rules:
We will not accept items that are dirty, stained, missing buttons, broken zippers. Clothing must be clean and free of allergens (dust, mold). If you won't lend it to a friend, don't bring it in! We can't guarantee that you will take home any item with you or any item that is of equal value to the item you brought in to Swap. Swap Miami's ethos is living sustainably and giving.

All leftover items will be donated to our partnering charity.

Swap Miami is not a place you can drop off just any unwanted clothes.

Swap Miami is not a fashion event to buy clothing or accessories- but to Swap them for Free!

How many items can I swap?
Bring as many items as you wish.

Do I bring my items the day of the event only or can I drop them off in advance?
For your convenience, we will have Swap Drop Locations for clothing and accessories only. Furniture will have to be brought in the day of the event only.

What can I swap?
Gently used and clean clothing, accessories for women, men and children.

All items must be in good condition and fashionable!

We will also be accepting furniture accent pieces and home decor accessories such as end tables, chairs, desk, vases, lamps.

We will have an assortment of styles and sizes available for guests. The more you give, the more you are able to swap! And the more others can swap!

How do items get appraised?
Swap Miami will have on site stylists and furniture retailers to appraise all items. Swappers will receive SC (swap currency) for each item they check in.

Low -Yellow Credit
Mid - Red Credit
Luxury - Green Credit (above $200)

How much does it cost to attend Swap Miami
Advanced Tickets (includes express entry): $8.00(available till May 21)
Tickets at the door: $10.00.

We will accept cash and all major credit cards.

What time does Swap Miami start?
Swap Miami Registration and Cocktail Reception will begin at 12:00. All guests must check in.

Guests will enjoy a variety of cocktails, light bites, pampering and swap shopping.

The clothing, accessory and furniture swap will begin at 12:30

What happens to all the leftover items?
We donate them to our partnering charity.

Is this a one-time event?
Nope! Swap Miami's goal is to revolutionize buying and selling in South Florida! We will be holding Swap Miami events at least 6x a year! There is always a reason to clean out your closet or de-clutter your home!

Is this a trunk show?
This is an event based around living sustainably and chic! We are pleased to be providing a beautiful space for guests to swap, mingle, drink! All items will be organized neatly just as you would experience at a trunk show or sample sale.

Will I find something I like?
We are implementing a quality only policy. We want to create a platform for providing chic fashion and home goods for free!

To make your swapping experience more pleasurable we have Swap Miami Style Correspondents by 944 Magazine and Plum TV who will be on site to assist with shopping and styling tips!
